WHAT IS CROSSFIT?
CLASS OPTIONS
CrossFit
A 60 minute class that includes high intensity interval training in a variety of movements including gymnastics, weightlifting, kettlebells, cardio and anything else that the Avada trainers can think if to throw at you.
Burn & Tone
A 45 minute class that is a mix of everything with some light weight high intensity sporadic CrossFit WOD’s. No where near as technical as some of the CrossFit movements.
Saturday Super Sesh
A 90 minute class to wrap up your week. Team based CrossFit style workouts with some interval based training regularly thrown in. This is a must attend class for many of our members as it’s easier to hide from the trainers in a big crowd of people.
Strength & Tone
A 45 minute class that includes less intensity and cardiovascular exercises and more lower technical strength movements.
Weightlifting
A 60 minute class that focusses on the technical side of Olympic Lifting including the Snatch and Clean & Jerk with other major strength components regularly covered. Get ready to hear ‘Nice Snatch’ and ‘Can I Jerk your Snatch’ a lot.
Mum’s Class
A 60 minute class for mums, non-mums or even dads. Slightly longer than the burn and tone classes. Plus kids are welcome but if they get too rowdy Brent will make them do burpees as punishment.
CrossFit Kids
A 45 minute class for children aged between 5-12. The class focuses on functional fundamental movement skills mixed with workouts that trick the kids into thinking they are playing games when really they are working out harder than ever.
Open Gym
This is where you can come along to Avada and work on anything you might want to work on in your own time.
